Gone Girl

I've been gone from here for years. I finally bought back my domain names, tracykarol.com and tracykarol.org, after some foreign business scooped them up and I lost years’ worth of writing and contacts. But now I don't know where I should publish. My own website? A blog like WordPress? Substack or Medium? Maybe Ghost or another domain hosting site. I'm open to suggestions. I also pretty desperately need to make a bit of money, so there's that to consider.

But I do have a plethora (love that word) of story ideas. Some are faith-based, others are reviews, at least one is a short story, and a book series about the life of King David, reimagined in an alt-modern, post-apocalyptic Texas. David is a warrior-poet who lives after Christ, as a rancher who plays acoustic guitar, but still slings stones at a demonic Goliath. I even had AI design a picture of my Dacid, not to use in writing but to give me that gritty feel of what he looks like.

So here I am at almost 4 am, just testing this site out to see if anyone is still around. I've all but abandoned social media, so I doubt I'll get many views, but I'm writing mostly to keep me sane. There's hoping someone in the world sees this. I'll consider it my personal journal. Which, actually, might not be a bad idea for a blog.

I hope all of y'all out there are having a blessed night. Please drop a comment if you happen to stop by.
